Miller Research will be holding their annual potato pest management field day on Tuesday, August 14 at the Miller Research facility located near Acequia, ID (426 E 200 N). A short presentation will be given in the office followed by a tour of the research plots.
The field day is designed for all growers, consultants, and any others interested in potato pest management. The presentations will focus on chemical management of diseases and will highlight research which has been funded by the Pacific Northwest Potato Research Consortium. ISDA pesticide recertification credits (3) and CCA-Pest Management credits (3) have been requested for this meeting.

Overview of research projects on fungicides for managing early blight/brown leaf spot/black dot, white mold, pink rot, Pythium leak, virus in field and storage, and fumigation for Verticillium wilt. Update on late blight and potato psyllid monitoring.
9:30-10:00
Best practices for using fungicides to manage pink rot.
10:00-10:30
Effect of fumigation application methods for managing Verticillium wilt and nematodes.
10:30-11:30
Management of foliar diseases (early blight, brown leaf spot, white mold, gray mold, and black dot) with fungicides.
11:30-12:00
Seed treatments and in-furrow fungicides for Rhizoctonia canker and Fusarium dry rot control.
