Betty Haynes of Midwestern Lens, made Ag Media Summit history on July 21st, 2026 as the first awardee to receive both Agricultural Communicators Network Photographer of the Year and Livestock Publications Council Photographer of the Year in the same year.
Haynes also received Ag Communicator’s Network Photo of the Year with her photo “Harvest Hugs,” plus four first place ACN photo awards and four first place LPC awards.
Haynes began her freelance business, Midwestern Lens, just two years ago after careers with both Farm Progress and the Illinois Beef Association. Her creative inspiration, she says, stems from time with her husband and daughters on their cattle, corn, soybean, hay, and wheat farm.
