Goals of Climate-Smart (C-S) Agriculture

  • Sustainably increase food security and support rural livelihoods.
  • Strengthen resilience of ag and food systems to climate variability.
  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and sequester carbon on farmland.

Benefits to Growers – Growers enrolled in the program will:

  • Receive incentive payments for implementing C-S practices on their farm (currently $75/acre for 2024).
  • Have access to technical assistance and budget development tools.
  • Receive training on soil health, conservation management practices and their implementation.
