USDA: Potatoes Sold in 2022 in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington was $2.53 Billion

The final value of Idaho’s 2022 potato crop sold was $1.41 billion, up 35 percent from 2021. The marketing year average price for potatoes in Idaho was $12.50 per cwt, up $4.04 from last year.

In Oregon, the 2022 potato crop sold was valued at $245 million, up 12 percent from last year. The potato price was $10.30 per cwt, up $1.28 from last year.

Washington’s 2022 potato crop sold was valued at $883 million, up 33 percent from 2021. The marketing year average price for potatoes was $9.88 per cwt, up $2.13 from last year.

In Idaho, potato production for 2022 totaled 121 million cwt, down 9 percent from 2021. In Oregon, production was 25.8 million cwt, down 2 percent from 2021. Production in Washington was 95.4 million cwt, up 4 percent from 2021.

The combined production for the 3 states was 61 percent of U.S. potato production in 2022.
