Basic American Foods has been awarded a contract from USDA for dehydrated potato products. The dehy potatoes will be distributed through the National School Lunch Program and other federal food and nutrition assistance programs for fiscal year 2022.
The contract is worth over $4.4 million and 187,500 cases are to be shipped from the company’s Blackfoot, Idaho plant from October 15 through December 31, 2022.
