According to a USDA press release, potato acres planted in Idaho are estimated at 300,000 acres, down 3 percent from the previous year. Harvested area, at 299,000 acres, is down 3 percent from the previous year.
In Oregon, growers planted an estimated 45,000 acres of potatoes, unchanged from last year. Harvested area is unchanged from last year.
Washington growers planted an estimated 145,000 acres of potatoes, down 12 percent from the previous year. Harvested area, at 144,000 acres, is down 13 percent from 2019.
Nationally, area planted to potatoes is estimated at 921,000 acres, down 5 percent from 2019.
