UPI’s new Tripzin ZC herbicide provides pre-emergent control of a wide spectrum of broadleaf and annual grass weeds, including Palmer pigweed and other pigweed species, ragweed species, lambsquarters and velvetleaf. It is labeled for use in potatoes.
The pre-mix combines two active ingredients, metribuzin and pendimethalin, resulting in a viable resistance management tool, according to the company.
The water-based formulation is said to have a low volatile organic compounds (VOC) profile and convenient handling characteristics.
