In the May/June 2000 issue, we had Rich Betz and Walt McDevitt on the cover. They were featured in a story titled “It’s Not Fun Out There Anymore.” In the piece, they lament the changes they have seen in the potato industry. The two ran Bud-Rich Potato, Inc., a potato packing and shipping operation, as well as a 2,700-acre irrigated farm.
