Spudnik Equipment delivered an AirSep Harvester to Montana seed grower Buyan Ranch last fall. Buyan was nothing short of impressed. With the AirSep, potatoes are not being bounced on hard surfaces. Bruising and skinning is held to a minimum with air separation technology. Buyan noted that both the Umatilla and Clearwater varieties are very susceptible to Fusarium when the spuds are bruised. “If you bruise them up, you could have problems with Fusarium”.
The machine saved Buyan money in numerous ways. Labor was reduced and Buyan says the AirSep is fast and efficient.
Buyan described the buying process as “a phenomenal experience” and was happy Spudnik could customize the AirSep to his liking.
