In February 2001, we had Allen and Fred Olberding on the cover of Potato Country magazine. Allen had just been named the new head of the NPC.
Allen and Fred farmed together in a partnership known as LC Farming, north of Pasco, Washington. As Allen was very busy with roles in the NPC and WSPC he said, “I simply could’t do any of this without Fred’s help, I’m most appreciative.”
The NPC continues to be a leading advocate for potato growers, and leader of great events. They just hosted the 2018 Potato Expo in Orlando. Watch for the February 2018 issue of Potato Country for coverage of the amazing event.
